You’ve Got Mail! Designers create handmade Christmas Cards
The blurry new etiquette surrounding bought e-cards, be damned—isn’t it just so much nicer when someone goes to the trouble of hand-making something for you personally? This holiday, a gaggle of designers diverted their talents into drawing, collaging, and Photoshopping year-end cards especially for you, dear Vogue.com reader. Posted here: illustrated greetings from stars who’ve been twinkling extra-brightly in 2011, bringing fresh gorgeousness to our wardrobes, and unforgettable dazzle to the runway. Click through this slideshow, and you’ll spot some souvenirs of delightful fashion memories from Christopher Kane, Prabal Gurung, Mary Katrantzou, Diane von Furstenberg, Meadham Kirchhoff, Stephen Jones, Joseph Altuzarra, Rodarte, Marchesa, Manolo Blahnik, Rag & Bone and Dolce & Gabbana. Our thank-yous to them for all the joy and inspiration they’ve brought to us this year.
Vogue Votes, The Best Street Style of 2011
It’s no secret these days that what editors and fashion insiders wear on their way to the shows is just as influential as the looks parading down the runways inside the tents. This past year, there were several trends that kept popping up in our street-style photos (shot by StreetPeeper’s Phil Oh)—from the explosion of print to the revival of menswear to the ubiquitous neon stripes first seen at Prada’s spring 2011 show. So as we near the end of 2011, the best of the best have been spotlighted, because expertly put-together style has little to do with following convention. Rather it is outstanding originality, impeccable taste, and irresistible inventiveness, that inevitably leaves a lasting impression.

Taking printed pants to a whole other level!
Male or Female, whoever is wearing them, these prints are amazing! It’s great to see a bit of colour used in an interesting way. If you’re sick of colour blocking you don’t have do go all dark and grey, just throw in some prints and patterns, mix and match them in unusual ways to pull off a new effect. I absolutely love this.
